The Cat Camel Exercise is a great mobility exercise for those individuals wanting to improve their general spinal movement.  It involves both flexion and extension of the spine and requires the individual to separate hip from back movement.

This is a commonly prescribed exercise for those clients who suffer from occasional lower back pain and tension.  Be sure to move slowly through the movement and maintain a good breathing rate.  If you suffer from any pain or discomfort at anytime, please stop.  To find out what exercises and stretches you should be performing for your back pain, be sure to book an appointment and see one of our Osteopaths at Principle Four Osteopathy.
